Lindsay Tremain

Responsible for outreach and recruitment of graduate students; new student orientation; enrolled student services, including registration, academic progress, and degree completion; development of new degree programs; several support programs, including the Clark Fellowships, Graduate Work Study, and the Graduate Tuition Opportunity Program (GTOP); special awards, including Graduate Student Excellence in Research and Teaching, Faculty Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring, Dissertation Year Fellowships, and Distinguished Dissertations; and alumni development. She also plays an active role in the Graduate Council, including curriculum, budget, academic standards, and grievance committees.

Venkat Ananthanarayanan

Responsible for the ongoing support, development, enhancement and maintenance of Graduate School systems including production databases, real time web applications, client-server and custom software solutions. A key technical resource, is involved in business requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of business solutions. Works closely with other IT professionals in constantly evaluating current systems and enabling decisions on future development.

Graduate Admissions Assistant


Responsible for entry and maintenance of graduate degree and non-degree application records, from date of application to enrollment. Processing deferrals and troubleshooting applications. Responsible for receiving and processing applications including checking new applications, recording student materials, evaluating transcripts, and confirming international student funding certification. Interacts with departments and students on a daily basis regarding various questions and problems in the application process. Mentors and trains undergraduate and graduate student employees.

Responsible for processing all graduate applications and decisions and manages the admission deposit process. Records admission credentials, evaluates applicant transcripts, and verifies international student funding certification. Interacts with applicants and graduate program staff to solve issues related to applications and ensure successful enrollment. Answers phones and assists with walk-in customers.
